San Bernardino County is the largest county in America by land area , bigger than several states put together. But our work here doesn’t stretch to the desert or the mountains; it concentrates where the county’s homes concentrate: the valley floor below the San Gabriel Mountains, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Fontana, and Chino Hills. We’re based in Eastvale, just across the county line, so our crews roll into the San Bernardino valley every week.

This stretch of the valley has a personality all its own. Up against the foothills in Rancho Cucamonga and Upland, patios sit fully exposed to the Santa Ana winds that funnel down through the Cajon Pass every fall, the kind of gusts that turn a flimsy shade product into a repair call. Down on the valley floor in Ontario and Fontana, the enemy is stillness: long, motionless August afternoons with the sun hammering west-facing patios and two-story tract glass. Either way, shade here isn’t decoration, it’s the difference between a patio you live on and one you abandon from June to October. Add a Somfy wind sensor to the equation and the system looks after itself: extended for shade, retracted before the gusts, every day of wind season.

The neighborhoods are a study in contrast. Foothill master-plans with strict architectural committees and big hillside views sit a few exits from older mid-century valley neighborhoods with deep lots and room to build. A retractable awning is the common denominator: in the foothills it handles the wind-exposed exposure with a wind sensor that retracts it before gusts become a problem; in the valley neighborhoods it simply reclaims the hottest hours of the day, extended for dinner, retracted for open sky.

South- and west-facing glass is the other county-wide pattern, from the ranch homes of Montclair and Chino to the newer tracts of Fontana. That’s where our motorized power screens earn their keep, zip-track Somfy screens that drop at the touch of a button, cutting glare and heat before it ever reaches your windows, without closing off the view you paid for.

And when you want permanent structure, our patio covers give valley homeowners a true outdoor room, solid roof, ceiling fan, lighting, engineered for inland conditions and finished to the neighborhood’s standards, from foothill HOA tracts to the Ontario airport corridor.

The homes themselves tell the county’s story. Up in the foothill master-plans above Rancho Cucamonga and Upland, we’re working with strict architectural committees, hillside-view lots, and patios that sit fully exposed to the wind funnels, installs where the wind sensor isn’t optional, it’s the point. Out in the older valley neighborhoods of Ontario, Montclair, and Chino, it’s mid-century ranch homes on deep lots: big patios, mature trees, and homeowners who’ve had the same awning since the ’90s and would rather reskin it than start over. And along the Ontario airport corridor, shade is business, restaurant patios and storefronts that lose customers the moment the afternoon sun makes them unusable.

Being close matters. We’re based in Eastvale, just across the county line, so our crews are in the San Bernardino valley every week, and the people who install your system are the people who answer when you call afterward. No call centers, no out-of-area surprises, no disappearing act after the check clears.

Every retractable awning and motorized screen we install is backed by our 15-year warranty, American-made systems, installed by our own local crew, serviced by the same people who built them. And with financing available at flexible financing options for qualified buyers, the premium system is a now project, not a someday project. Your estimate is free, on site, and in writing.

San Bernardino County FAQ

Questions SB homeowners ask us

San Bernardino County is huge, do you really cover my part of it?
America's largest county by area stretches from Los Angeles to the Nevada line, but our work centers on the valley cities below the San Gabriels: Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Chino Hills, Fontana, Rialto, Montclair, Chino, and the city of San Bernardino itself, from the Verdemont and University District (CSUSB) hillside homes down through the older ranch housing stock near downtown. We're based just over the county line in Eastvale, so our crews are in the SB valley weekly, free on-site estimates, measured in person, quoted in writing.
The Santa Anas rip through the Cajon Pass every fall. Will an awning hold up?
A cheap awning won't, and that's why wind damage calls spike every October and November. Every retractable awning we install can carry a wind sensor that retracts the awning automatically when gusts build, so you don't have to stand at the window watching the weather. The hardware is engineered for real foothill conditions, and we retract before the wind becomes a problem.
My Rancho Cucamonga / Chino Hills neighborhood has a strict HOA. Can you help with approval?
Yes, the foothill master-plans are some of the strictest we work with, and we know their submittal packets cold. We supply spec sheets, fabric swatches, and mounting details formatted the way the local architectural committees expect, and we schedule your install after the approval lands. Most of our HOA submittals pass on the first round.
My foothill patio faces south and gets sun all day. What actually helps?
A motorized screen on the sun side is the workhorse here: it intercepts heat before it hits your glass, which keeps the rooms behind it noticeably cooler and takes real load off your AC. Pair it with a retractable awning overhead for the patio itself and you reclaim the hottest hours of the day without giving up your hillside view.
Do patio shades block bugs?
The solar mesh is a strong flying-insect barrier while keeping airflow, so evenings stay open without the dusk swarms. It is the same fabric that intercepts the sun all afternoon: heat, glare, and insects handled by one screen.
What are motorized shades with side tracks?
The wind-tight system: the screen fabric rides inside aluminum side channels instead of hanging free, so it cannot flap, billow, or pull out of the housing when the Cajon Pass gusts arrive. Side-track shades are the key Santa Ana wind selling point on exposed San Bernardino County lots.
Do you offer financing for San Bernardino County projects?
We do. Enhancify and Wisetack give qualified buyers two 0% choices: 0% for 24 months financing and a 0% 21-month intro rate credit card. Terms come from the lender; approval is subject to credit. Free written estimate first, every time. Text (909) 325-3110 and we will lay it all out, pressure-free.
Why don't you list prices online?
Short answer: any number we posted would be wrong for your patio. Width, projection, fabric, motorization, mounting - they all move the price on a San Bernardino County install, and a generic online range cannot account for them. So we skip it and give you something better: a free written estimate from actual measurements, exact and itemized.
