Good neighbors share great shade.

Most of our new customers come from neighbors who already have our shade. Know someone with a hot patio? Have them mention your name when they reach out, and we will take care of them like one of our own.

FAQ

About AJ Shades

Who owns AJ Shades?
AJ Shades was founded in Eastvale, California by veteran Tony Jones. It is a veteran-owned, American-made shade company, retractable awnings, motorized screens, and patio covers designed, permitted, and installed by our own crew across Southern California. No franchise playbook, no call center: when you reach out, you talk to the people who will actually build your project.
Where do you install?
We install across five Southern California counties: San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino. Our shop and crews are based in Eastvale, which puts us in the middle of our service area, most estimates and installs run on a normal local schedule, not a road-trip calendar.
Who will actually do the work?
Our own people. Richard Gutierrez, our project manager, runs every job day-to-day, estimates, scheduling, and installation oversight, and the crews on your property are AJ Shades installers, not day labor or rotating subcontractors. That is how we keep the quality consistent and how we can back the work in writing.
Why American-made products?
Three reasons: the engineering is better, replacement parts actually exist when you need them ten years from now, and the warranty behind them is real. Our retractable awnings and motorized power screens carry a 15-year warranty because they are built to earn one. Buying domestic also keeps the money and the jobs here in Southern California.
What do your reviews look like?
Five stars across 605 five-star reviews and counting, homeowners across Southern California who will tell you about the crew, the communication, and the finished work. We read every review the day it comes in, and we treat a five-star average as something to defend, not something we have earned permanently.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, AJ Shades operates under CSLB license #951583, and every installer on your property is covered. We are happy to provide license and insurance documentation with your written quote; any contractor who hesitates on that question is telling you something.
Do you offer free estimates?
Always. Text (909) 325-3110 or call Richard at (949) 378-6642, se habla español, and we will come measure, talk through the options, and leave a written quote. Free means free: no trip charge, no obligation, and no pressure to decide on the spot.

Free estimate • No pressure

Meet us at your patio.

Free estimates, honest advice, and a crew you'll actually want to recommend.
