Pleasanton holds claim to the name Birthplace of the Cowboy, and the county lives up to it. The Longhorn Museum at 1959 East State Highway 97 preserves the ranching story from the first longhorn cattle and wild mustangs through the oil fields and coal strip mines, with exhibits of ranch and farm implements, a gun collection, an extensive windmill collection, and a restored railroad station and caboose. Since 1966 the South Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, created by the Pleasanton Express, has honored the working cowboys of the region, and the annual Yesteryear Festival at the museum brings the whole heritage, roping, arrowhead making, butter making, to one family day.
The ranching is not a museum piece. Atascosa County was a cross-trails point where the great cattle drives heading north came through first, and it remains working ranch country today, cattle, the Eagle Ford energy economy, and land-rich families who improve their homesteads and buy quality once. Ranch estates carry the biggest outdoor footprints in the market: sprawling patios, outdoor kitchens, and pool decks that need permanent, engineered shade, and the families who own them refer across the fence line.
The county’s towns fill out the market: Jourdanton, the county seat, with its courthouse square; Poteet, the self-proclaimed Strawberry Capital of Texas with its famous spring festival; and the IH-37 corridor tying it all to San Antonio’s south side. Atascosa River Park spreads its oak and pecan groves, tennis courts, and athletic fields along the river, and the highway corridors keep the commuter subdivisions growing.
South Texas does the selling. Summers are long and punishing, insects own the evenings, and a ranch porch or pool deck without shade and screens sits empty for half the year. A dealer with open-roll awnings for the family budgets, zip-track screens for the bugs, and full-cassette systems for the premium builds sells the whole outdoor-living package in one conversation.
Our factory’s in-house installation covers Southern California only, San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. In Atascosa County, the dealer sells the product and coordinates installation locally, with our training, measuring guidance, and technical support standing behind every project.

Ranch-country shade, built to order in our American factory, sold at wholesale.
Awning Re-covers
South Texas sun and dust wear out awning fabric fast on ranch homes and country properties. Re-covers put new life on existing frames at a fraction of replacement cost, and the ranch buyer who sees the renewed fabric asks about the motorized screen package for the porch next.

The dusk answer: motorized zip-track screens that hold the insects off the porch when the sun drops, then retract for the wide country sky.

The ranches, the corridor, and the festival
Working land, commuter growth, and cowboy pride.
The ranch estates are the premium play: working ranches and country homes with the county’s largest outdoor footprints. Permanent covers and big-ticket packages, sold to families who buy quality once and refer the whole fence line.
The IH-37 corridor is the growth play: the San Antonio commuter route carries the county’s newest subdivisions and its highest household incomes. Dealers who partner with corridor builders meet the backyard budget while the framing is still up.
The Longhorn Museum and Yesteryear Festival is the visibility play: the county’s heritage hub and its biggest family gathering. A dealer present where the county celebrates becomes the name every ranch family remembers.
The Jourdanton and Poteet communities are the trust play: county-seat pride and small-town loyalty where a local dealer’s reputation is the entire marketing plan. Apply today for a straight answer on availability in Atascosa County.
Your competitive edge
Why Atascosa County is dealer territory
Big footprints, loyal buyers, and a story worth selling.
1. Ranch-scale tickets. The county’s working ranches and country homes carry outdoor footprints no subdivision can touch. Permanent covers and full outdoor-living packages make for the largest average tickets in the catalog.
2. Wholesale, never franchise. No buy-in, no royalties, no annual fees. You sell our American-made catalog under your own brand at dealer pricing, and the margin stays in your business.
3. The buy-once buyer. Ranch families and energy households don’t bargain-shop; they buy quality once and expect it to outlast them. American-made, warranty-backed shade is the only pitch they respect.
4. Open territory. Motorized, American-made, warranty-backed shade systems have almost no local competition here. The first trained dealer with the right catalog doesn’t compete, they define the category.
5. No warehouse, no payroll. Build-to-order means nothing sits in stock. Our training, measuring guidance, and technical support let fence builders, patio shops, and remodelers add the line without hiring.
Running an install crew around Pleasanton or the IH-37 corridor? The contractor program was designed for install-first businesses, and many South Texas partners run both programs at once.
