Wilson County is the Peanut Capital of Texas, officially recognized by the Texas Senate, and Floresville wears it proudly: a giant Memorial Peanut Statue stands on the courthouse square honoring Joe T. Sheehy, the “peanut king” who proved peanuts a viable cash crop here in 1916. The town was founded in 1867 and named for Don Francisco Flores de Abrego, a Canary Islands immigrant who ranched outside the settlement, and it has been the county seat since 1873. That deep agricultural root is why people here still work hard, buy quality, and stay loyal to local businesses.
The county’s signature event is the Floresville Peanut Festival, held every second weekend of October since 1938, the 81st annual ran in 2025, drawing more than 20,000 attendees to the parades, carnival, arts and crafts, and street dances around the square. For a dealer, that festival is the best storefront in the county: one visible presence at the event every homeowner attends, and your name is the one they remember when the patio project starts.
The market underneath the festivals is what really counts. US-181 runs straight to San Antonio, making Floresville, La Vernia, Stockdale, and Poth a commuter belt for the metro: metro incomes on small-town lots, with patios, pools, and outdoor kitchens central to the lifestyle. Floresville River Park draws families to the riverbanks, River Bend Golf Club anchors the fairway-view crowd, and the Wilson County Courthouse’s Texas Renaissance architecture reminds every visitor this is a county with pride and means.
South Texas does the selling for you. Summers are long, hot, and buggy, evenings belong to the mosquitoes, and a pool or patio without real shade sits empty for half the year. Motorized zip-track screens are a need-based sale here: keep the insects out, cut the glare, and the backyard becomes the family room. Need-based sales close faster and refer harder than any want-based pitch.
Our factory’s in-house installation covers Southern California only, San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. In Wilson County, the dealer sells the product and coordinates installation locally, with our training, measuring guidance, and technical support standing behind every project.

South Texas shade, built to order in our American factory, sold at wholesale.
Zip-Track Power Screens
The Floresville essential: motorized zip-track screens that cut the glare and shut out the evening insects on pool decks and outdoor kitchens, then retract to open the sky. Wilson County summers sell this product for you.

Floresville’s pool-and-patio homes and the US-181 corridor keep first-generation awnings bleached by South Texas sun. Re-covers restore them at a fraction of replacement cost, and the suburban buyer who approves a re-cover is one visit from the screen package quote.

Market map
Floresville, the river, and the commuter belt
Peanut pride, metro incomes, and South Texas summers.
The Floresville historic square is the visibility play: the Memorial Peanut Statue, the Wilson County Courthouse, the Peanut Festival crowds, and Old Town Market’s weekend shoppers. A dealer anchored on the square’s orbit becomes the county’s default shade name.
The US-181 corridor is the money play: the commuter route to San Antonio carries the county’s newest subdivisions and its highest incomes. Dealers who partner with corridor builders and remodelers meet the backyard budget while the moving trucks are still there.
The La Vernia, Stockdale, and Poth communities are the trust play: tight-knit towns where a local dealer’s reputation travels faster than any ad. Quality installs and honest follow-up become the whole marketing plan.
The pool-and-patio belt is the lifestyle play: river-adjacent homes, golf-course views, and the pool decks that define South Texas living. Screens for the insects, covers for the kitchens, cassettes for the west-facing walls. Apply today for a straight answer on availability in Wilson County.
Your competitive edge
Why Wilson County is dealer territory
Metro money, small-town loyalty, and a climate that demands shade.
1. Heat and bugs close the deal. In Wilson County the pitch writes itself: summer heat and evening mosquitoes keep unshaded patios empty for half the year. Dealers sell relief, not luxury, and relief buyers decide fast.
2. Your brand, your books. This is wholesale, not a franchise: no buy-in, no royalties, no annual fees. You sell our American-made catalog under your own name at dealer pricing and the margin stays in your business.
3. First-mover advantage. Motorized American-made shade systems with a factory warranty are nearly absent from the county. The first credible dealer doesn’t chase the market, they become it.
4. The commuter paycheck. San Antonio salaries spent on small-town mortgages leave real room in the budget for the backyard. That combination is exactly where premium outdoor living lands.
5. Add a line, not a payroll. Build-to-order means nothing sits in a warehouse. Our training, measuring guidance, and technical backup let a remodeler, pool builder, or patio shop add the shade line without hiring anyone.
Running an install crew around Floresville or the 181 corridor? The contractor program was designed for install-first businesses, and many South Texas partners run both programs at once.
