Retractable Awnings & Shade in Aliso Viejo

Aliso Viejo is the planned community done right, Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park at its edge, Town Center in the middle, and neighborhoods where the HOA keeps everything crisp. Coastal-adjacent means milder summers than inland OC, but the afternoon sun still owns the west-facing patios. AJ Shades installs retractable awnings and motorized power screens with the HOA submittal package built in.

Planned-community installs are a process we run weekly: color and projection submittals, mounting details, the paperwork that gets approvals instead of violation letters. Retractable awnings are the easy sell to architectural committees, they disappear when retracted, changing nothing about the street view. Motorized screens on the west glass are the companion upgrade most Aliso Viejo homes end up adding.

Our 15-year warranty covers every retractable awning and motorized screen we install, built for the long haul and installed by our own crews. Estimates are always free, on site, and in writing, with financing with flexible options for qualified buyers. patio covers round out the offering for permanent roofed outdoor rooms, engineered for local wind loads and permitted properly.

Aliso Viejo was built for outdoor living and then the summers argued otherwise. Afternoon shade is what unlocks the backyard: a retractable awning over the patio, motorized screens on the west glass, and suddenly the hottest months have a cool side of the house. Every build is measured on site, quoted in writing, and installed by our own crews, no subcontractor roulette.

Aliso Viejo lots tend toward the generous, side yards, deep backyards, room for real outdoor rooms. We design in zones: awning over the patio, screens on the west glass, and the evening breeze does the rest. One site visit, one written quote, zones that make sense.

Planned community against the canyons.
