Navarro County runs on deep history and deep pride. In 1894, while drilling artesian wells for the city’s water supply, Corsicana struck the state’s first major commercial oil discovery, and within years Texas had its first refinery, its first storage tanks, and a boom that peaked at 840,000 barrels in 1900. The Powell Oil Field gushers of 1923 out-produced Pennsylvania and nine other states. More than 200 million barrels have flowed since 1895, the longest continuous oil flow in Texas, and the oil-millionaire homes and Gothic Revival towers it built still define the county.
Downtown Corsicana is a 25-block Corsicana Commercial Historic District, anchored by the 1926 State National Bank, an eight-story Gothic Revival tower that was built to symbolize the city’s oil wealth, and the 1905 Navarro County Courthouse on West 3rd Avenue. Mills Place Historic District’s fine residences testify to the affluence of the boom years. These owners don’t buy commodity shade; they buy systems worthy of the architecture.
The cultural draw is real and famous: Collin Street Bakery has shipped its DeLuxe Fruitcake worldwide since 1896 from 401 West 7th Avenue, a recipe carried from Wiesbaden, Germany. Wolf Brand Chili was born in 1895 when Lyman T. Davis sold five-cent bowls from a wagon near the Blue Front Saloon, and the bronze-and-steel wolf monument downtown still draws the curious. Pioneer Village’s restored 1800s buildings, the Cook Center Planetarium on the Navarro College campus, and Petroleum Park’s discovery-well site round out a tourism base that keeps the county visible.
Sitting about an hour south of Dallas on the I-45 corridor, Corsicana catches DFW overflow, commuters, and weekend shoppers, while the county’s acreage communities, lake homes, and farm-to-market neighborhoods stretch into the Blackland Prairie. The East Texas climate does the selling: pollen, insects, and long hot summers make outdoor spaces a promise that shade systems keep. Apply today for a straight answer on availability in Navarro County.
Our factory’s in-house installation covers Southern California only, San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. In Navarro County, the dealer sells the product and coordinates installation locally, with our training, measuring guidance, and technical support behind every project.

Market map
The historic districts, the corridor, and the prairie
Oil wealth, Collin Street fame, and I-45 momentum.
The historic districts are the design-conscious play: the Beaton Street corridor, the Mills Place residences, and the 25-block commercial district reward retractable product that respects facades. Restaurant and event patios downtown are open commercial territory, outdoor dining runs nearly year-round.
The Collin Street tourism pull is the visibility play: Collin Street Bakery, the wolf monument, and Petroleum Park draw visitors who eat, shop, and stroll downtown. A visible dealer on the tourist path becomes the county’s shade name by default.
The I-45 corridor is the growth play: Dallas commuters and DFW overflow keep the corridor subdivisions filling in. Dealers who partner with corridor builders and remodelers meet the backyard budget while the movers are still unpacking.
The acreage and lake communities are the lifestyle play: the farm-to-market neighborhoods and weekend properties across the Blackland Prairie buy the full outdoor-living package, covers, screens, and awnings in one ticket.
Your competitive edge
Why Navarro County is dealer territory
Proud homeowners, oil-money streets, and a county that remembers quality.
1. A culture that buys quality. A county built by oil wealth and anchored by institutions like Collin Street Bakery respects craftsmanship. Dealers carrying American-made, warranty-backed product sell into values the market already holds.
2. Wholesale, not franchise. No buy-in, no royalties, no annual fees. Sell under your own brand at dealer pricing, from a Mills Place cassette to a corridor-subdivision open-roll, and keep the margin.
3. The historic-district moat. Preservation-minded owners research before they buy and reject anything that cheapens the architecture. A dealer with retractable, 15-year-warranty systems doesn’t compete with commodity installers, they never meet them.
4. The DFW tailwind. An hour from the metroplex means a steady inflow of buyers with metroplex budgets. Premium product lands exactly where their expectations already are.
5. No inventory, no crew. Build-to-order means no warehouse. Training, measuring guidance, and technical support let remodelers, patio builders, and outdoor-living retailers become dealers without new headcount.
Running an install crew around Corsicana or the I-45 corridor? The contractor program was designed for install-first businesses, and many North Texas partners run both programs at once.
